Why are you charging money for Metabolism Secrets?I would love to give Metabolism Secrets away for free to anyone who wanted it, as I could help more people. On the surface it makes sense to provide free information that could potentially help millions of overweight people to lose weight. Unfortunately the reality isn’t that simple, as you’ll discover: Surely if the information is in electronic format it should be free If I didn’t charge for the information, I wouldn’t be able to afford to advertise the website. You see, I pay for every person who clicks on my ad and these costs mount up really quickly. Only a small percentage actually buy the book, and this covers the advertising costs, and makes a small profit which I use to pay for the webmasters who work for me, and whatever is left over is used to fund my own and family’s living expenses. So if I didn’t charge for Metabolism Secrets, I’d go broke really quickly, the site would close and I wouldn’t be able to help anyone. But why are you trying to sell information you got for free? I only had a few minutes with the doctor in the Emergency Room, and she gave me a few sentences of advice. I realize now that it wasn’t rocket science, but at the time it was a revelation for me. It was enough information to get me started, but certainly not enough to write an entire book! I spent about six months researching nutrition, buying books, articles, journals, going on courses etc, so I could understand more about the human body and how it works. It was a very expensive venture, but I thought it was well worth it, as I was desperate to lose weight. During this time, I used myself as a guinea pig - trying out different foods, supplements, exercises to see which worked and which didn’t. This also cost me a lot of money as there were so many supplements out there that didn’t have much effect on my health. Once I found out what worked, I spent 3 months writing up the material, into a book. I wasn’t happy with my style of writing, so hired a professional editor to make it read better. Editors don’t come cheap either! I’ve also interviewed a world-class athlete on exercise and nutrition and uploaded these interviews to the website, so as to give my customers value for money. Since writing the original book, I’ve studied kinesiology and anatomy and physiology. I have since learned that hormones play a much larger part in weight management than food, and have included information on hormone balancing in the updates to the Metabolism Secrets book. I normally charge £50 (that’s about $100 US Dollars) per hour for my time, and you are getting the best of the information I use with my clients for less than that. But why is the price $47, when books in the store are cheap? I don’t have the resources of a billion-dollar publishing company behind me, which is why the book costs as much as it does. I would love to get a big publisher interested in my book, then it could be widely available to everyone in a physical format, and for a much cheaper price. What I’m offering is better than a store-bought book, as anyone who purchases my plan is entitled to have a free email consultation. I will personally read your food and activity diary and write you a report on where I think you can make improvements, so you can increase your weight loss. I’ve received emails from people who are considering spending thousands of dollars on weight loss surgery, or buying very expensive meal replacement products. I feel for them, as I’ve lost count of the thousands of dollars I’ve spent on trying to lose weight and educating myself on weight loss! However, considering the amount of money I know some people spend on losing weight, and the amount of time and attention I will put into your email consultations, I feel that $47 is a fair exchange for information that could help resolve your weight problem forever.
